Meet Our Doctors & Staff
As moms ourselves, we understand how important your child’s health is to you. As Board Certified Pediatricians, we are uniquely qualified to care for your child from birth through adolescence. All Pediatricians are also Fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics. We enjoy building relationships with families and make every effort for you to see your chosen doctor for each visit, especially for well-child exams. When schedules get full, however, we are happy to share patients to make sure all children that need to be seen get an appointment. We take a collaborative approach to your child’s care, joining our medical knowledge to your personal expertise about your child.
Kelly Jolet, MD
Dr. Jolet has been Board Certified in Pediatrics since 1996. She was raised in San Antonio where she graduated with honors from Our Lady of the Lake University with a degree in Biology. She received her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, also with honors. Dr. Jolet completed her residency training at the Naval Medical Center San Diego and proudly served for 4 years at Naval Hospital Lemoore, CA. After returning home to Texas she practiced at Children’s Hospital of Austin and City of Austin Clinics before forming Southwest Pediatrics with Drs. Patil and Rimer. Dr. Jolet and her husband have 3 school-age children, from elementary to high school.

Vaishalee Patil, MD
Dr. Patil has been board certified in Pediatrics since 2001. She graduated from Grant Medical School in Bombay, India with honors. She was Board Certified and practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology in India before moving to the US with her husband. She underwent a second residency program in Pediatrics at Henry Ford Health Systems in Detroit, Michigan. After residency she moved to Austin and formed Southwest Pediatrics with Drs. Jolet and Rimer in 2001. Dr. Patil and her husband have two school-age sons.

Haydee Rimer, MD
Dr. Rimer has been Board Certified in Pediatrics since 2001. She completed her undergraduate studies in Venezuela and then her medical degree from Universidad de Los Andes. She completed an additional Masters in Public Health at Johns Hopkins University. Her residency training was at the Texas Tech University in El Paso. After graduation, Dr. Rimer worked at City of Austin clinics before forming Southwest Pediatrics with Drs. Jolet and Patil. Dr. Rimer and her husband have two children, a daughter recently graduated from Rice University, and a son in elementary school.

Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5 with every other Thursday afternoon off
Siv Fasci, MD
Dr. Fasci has been Board Certified in Pediatrics since 2001. She grew up in the North Dallas area and completed her undergraduate work at Texas A&M University with honors. She received her medical degree from University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and moved to Phoenix AZ where she completed her pediatric residency. She enjoys all aspects of general pediatrics, but has a special interest in developmental-behavioral pediatrics. She completed fellowship training at Children’s Hospital Boston and is additionally Board Certified in Developmental-Behavioral pediatrics. Since her fellowship, Dr. Fasci has worked in both private and public health clinics. She and her husband have a daughter in elementary school and a preschool-age son.

Christine Fyda, DO
Dr. Fyda is the newest member of Southwest Pediatric Associates, joining the group in December, 2009. She is originally from Buffalo, NY and graduated from Colgate University where she majored in Biology and played Division I volleyball. She graduated from medical school at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in California. She came to Austin, TX in 2006 and has recently completed her pediatric residency from UTMB at Dell Children's Hospital. During her medical school and residency training she had the opportunity to work in clinics in Tonga and Costa Rica. Dr. Fyda is Board Eligible. She is very excited about the newest member of her family, a nephew that lives in Dallas. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, outdoor activities and traveling.
Dr. Fyda will be available every afternoon 1-5 pm, but hours will gradually increase as her panel grows. She will likely be here full days when one of the other physicians is at a conference or on vacation.
Dr. Fyda's Hours: Monday-Friday 1-5, expanding as her panel grows.
Residents and Additional Physicians
Our physicians feel it is crucial to provide good training to future physicians, so that your children’s children receive excellent care as well. We provide a site for residents to receive training in out-patient pediatrics. These residents are present approximately 1-2 half-days/week. Even when a resident physician sees your child, they will always also see their own doctor that day, so that the quality of the care is assured. If you would prefer to not see a resident physician, please let our staff know.
