Lovina Bater, Ph. D.
Dr. Bater is originally from upstate New York but received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. She received her Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Dr. Bater completed her pre-doctoral internship at Casa Pacifica Center for Children and Families in Camarillo, California and her post-doctoral residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Dr. Bater then moved to Austin, Texas to work as a Pediatric Psychologist in the new Integrated Behavioral Health program with Austin Health Partners. Outside of the office, Dr. Bater enjoys hiking and swimming with her dog, Chloe, as well as participating in yoga and exercise classes, dancing, sports (especially baseball and hockey), watching television, and eating new foods. She has a special interest in childhood behavior disorders, trauma and stressor-related difficulties, parenting practices, and Selective Mutism.
