Haley has always wanted to work in pediatrics. Even from a young age, she found herself caring for others – especially students with disabilities. Born in Colorado, raised in South Carolina, beginning her career in Virginia, and now calling Austin home has really allowed her to learn from different environments and cultures.

She graduated with honors from Clemson University with her BSN where she was highly involved in many student organizations. Haley began her career with VCU Health, which is named as one of the best children’s hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. She spent her time in their Pediatric Intensive Care Unit where she learned to care for the sickest children and their families. She quickly became a preceptor to train and educate students and new graduates on the safest way to provide timely and accurate care.

Haley then embarked on her journey to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at the #1 program in the nation, Duke University, where she graduated from her Master’s Program with honors. During this time, she moved to Austin and joined the team at Dell Children’s Medical Center in their PICU. She continued contributing as a preceptor while providing the best care possible to her patients. She did clinicals all over Austin and was lucky enough to do one at Southwest Pediatrics where she knew she wanted to end up after falling in love with the practice. With 6+ years of pediatric experience, she is excited to join the team. The best part of her job is getting to learn from her exceptional coworkers while supporting children and families as they grow.

Haley can be found in the fall watching her beloved Clemson Tigers football team and hiking around Austin and the Hill Country in the spring. During the summer, she will be near a body of water (if not in it) soaking up sunshine with family and friends. She and her husband love spending time outdoors and only live a mile from the office, so make sure to say hello if you see her around town!
